История двух подруг – сотрудниц отдела по расследованию резонансных преступлений Следственного комитета. Авторитарная, яркая Ирина Макарова, «сэлф-мэйд вумэн» постбальзаковского возраста и тихая, болезненно замкнутая, совсем молодая генеральская дочка Дина Волошина – им поручено совместное расследование дела об убийстве женщин с особой жестокостью. Ритуальные убийства происходят в разных частях города – очевидно, что сделал это один человек, конченый психопат. Они поймают его, потому что они сами «ненормальные стервы», как считают представители мужской части сотрудников отдела.
