В 1922-ом году в Мадрид приезжает 18-летний Сальвадор Дали. Столица Испании того времени становится местом притяжения самых ярких молодых умов. Дали, талантливый и увлеченный живописью, стремится стать великим художником. В университете он знакомится с уже признанным поэтом Федерико Гарсиа Лоркой и с режиссером Луисом Бунюэлем. Молодые люди становятся лидерами испанской творческой интеллигенции, но их межличностные отношения кардинально меняются.
